GIRLS PLEASE!

Date: August 08, 2005 01:14AM When I get my period, sometimes I just feel sore and tired and just can't go in the water. I'm 2 young to take the period medications and pain killers dont work. (like Tylenol, im 2 young 2 take motrin and stuff 2) It's really taking a toll on my effort and belief, and also very frustrating to have to sit on the bleachers while everyone else swims. Advice? Thanks a million! ~*!You know you can do it!*~ Re: GIRLS PLEASE!

Date: August 24, 2005 01:57AM Well if you're too young to take medications and don't feel comfortable swimming, then you'll just have to suck it up. Everyone has their days when practice seems like a drag. No worries. Another idea....try rubbing some ice-hot on your lower stomach and it really helps. It's sports gel I guess you could say. It's amazing but also a very strong pepermint smell. "SaVe A hOrSe~RiDe A cOwBoY" Re: GIRLS PLEASE!

Date: July 24, 2006 01:48AM I feel like that too... you should talk to your mom, and if that doesn't help, excersise helps cramps for me. You could go to beinggirl.com they have great info and you can ask a real doctor about problems. Re: GIRLS PLEASE!

Date: August 02, 2006 06:06AM Hmmm...I find excedrin works really well, plus it has the caffiene which helps with being tired. Be careful about taking it too late because i have had it keep me from sleeping. Also, aleve is a great alternative. It lasts for ten hours so it really cuts down on the amount you have to take. I didn't realize they had age limits on this pain stuff....Whoops... There have been studies that show exercise relaxes those muscles and eases the cramps. I find if you just force your self to get into the pool and swim, you get into the workout and forget about the cramps. Re: GIRLS PLEASE!
